Dancing with the Celebrities of Pittsburgh

Kisker Productions captured the excitement and meaning behind the Trojan Triumph at North Catholic High School in still photographs and video.

The evening began with “Paparazzi” snapping photos of alumni, parents and guests as they entered the high school in Cranberry Township.  The fun began to build with student-run games, a generous bar and an ample buffet donated by area restaurants in the “Taste of…” tradition.  Recent alumni mingled with graduates from decades ago in the state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2014.

Jeff Verszyla, Chief Meteorologist from KDKA-TV served as emcee for the dance competition part of the evening, which was held in the gymnasium that was transformed into a set worthy of a television show.  The panel of judges included Mike Clark, News Anchor, form WTAE-TV, Michele Michaels from WDVE and Robert Mangino from NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.

The dancing “celebrities” pared off with instructors to perform routines they practiced for months.  The dancers included Amy Wadas, reporter from KDKA; Jennifer Tomazic, reporter from WPXI; Josh Taylor, sports report for KDKA; North Catholic teachers Emily Skirtich and Mike Flecker as well as North Catholic parents and friends Terri McSteen, Chris Carmody and John Nicotra.  Check out the action in our fun video and photos below!
